Toll buys Northland Trucking Co.

Toll Holdings has dipped into its newly acquired war chest to buy Northland trucking company United Carries. Toll's rail and ferry assets were bought by the Government for $665 million and the company signaled it planned to use the money to pursue aggressive growth in New Zealand....
